Five BTS members (RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V), have enrolled in a MBA (Master of Business Administration) program focusing on advertising media.

According to an exclusive report from Metro Seoul, RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V have joined Jin as students at the Hanyang Cyber University. The five members will all be studying advertising media for their MBA program, and join Jin as a student of the University, as Jin enrolled in 2017. The youngest member of BTS, Jungkook, did not enroll in the program.

According to the Hanyang Cyber University, the members will not enroll at the same time.

RM, Suga, and J-Hope enrolled during the 1st semester, which began in March 2020 while V and Jimin will begin in the 2nd semester, which will begin in August 2020.

Hanyang Cyber University is one of 21 online universities in Korea, and selects their students based on their interview process. The BTS members conducted their interviews through an online process, and were accepted.

Some people believe the BTS members are enrolling in post-graduate education in order to delay their military service, as one of the stipulations for delaying military service includes attending graduate school. An official from Big Hit Entertainment clarified that the newly enrolled BTS members were not enrolling due to military service reasons, but because they wanted to.

The members’ admission to graduate school is not due to their military service, but they all wanted to go to school because they have the will and desire to study.

Jin is expected to enlist in the military first. While the exact time has not yet been decided, it is expected that he will enlist at the end of 2020 or the early part of 2021.
