Heo Chanmi is making a new start!
The idol recently signed an exclusive contract with FirstOne Entertainment and she’s now on a path to becoming a soloist, 10 years after her first debut.
On July 10, FirstOne shared that Heo Chanmi will release her first solo album “Highlight” on July 23.
Ahead of her album, Heo Chanmi shared a performance trailer titled “I’m fine thanks,” and the song is the first one that she’s taken part in writing lyrics for and composing.
Her agency explained, “The track expresses the dark feelings she had to hide while working as a celebrity so far and her determination to still confidently get through hard times and grow.”
The title track of her first solo album will be “Lights,” and it’s said that she’s planning many different promotions before the album’s release.
Heo Chanmi has previously promoted with the 10-member group Co-Ed School and its female unit F-ve Dolls, and she also competed on the survival programs “Produce 101” and “MIXNINE.”
