There may be changes to this year’s Chuseok special of the “2020 Idol Star Athletics Championships” due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
On July 8, it was shared on various online communities that the recording of the “2020 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Chuseok Special” would be filmed without an audience. In response, many idol fandoms voiced opposition to the recording of a program in which a large number of people will be close together indoors to host a sports event.
Following the speculations, a source from MBC shared, “Whether or not the program will take place and how it will be filmed is under discussion.”
“Idol Star Athletics Championships” is a special program in which idols participate in various sports events. Fans of the participating groups are invited to be part of the audience, and they are able to enjoy some time with their favorite idols.
